Semi hits bus in Lawrence County
LAWRENCE COUNTY, Mo. — Authorities confirm a crash between a semi truck and a bus in Lawrence County Thursday morning.
According to Sheriff Brad DeLay, a school bus was traveling west on Highway 96 and was making a left turn onto a farm road when it was hit by a semi.
Two students plus the driver were aboard the bus during the crash. They received minor injuries in the collision. The semi driver was trapped momentarily until help arrived. That person also sustained minor injuries. All parties refused transport via ambulance.
Dry Conditions Expected Today; Calmer Weather Into The Weekend
Missouri State Highway Patrol has since taken over the investigation.
