Selinsgrove man accused of threatening woman with gun

Mar. 15—SELINSGROVE — A 35-year-old Selinsgrove man is in Snyder County jail for allegedly threatening a woman with a gun.

Brendan Lafferty went to the Monroe Township workplace of Yazmin Dealba, and asked her to step outside and talk, state police at Selinsgrove said.

Lafferty, seated in his vehicle, asked Dealba to call and text his girlfriend for him and when she asked what would happen if she didn't call the woman, he reached for a black pistol under the driver's seat and said, "This would happen," court records said.

Lafferty drove away and was apprehended by police at a downtown Selinsgrove business. Inside his vehicle, police said, a black firearm could be seen partially under the driver's seat.

He was arraigned before on-call District Judge Jeff Rowe on charges of misdemeanor terroristic threats and simple assault and is being held in lieu of $25,000 cash pending a preliminary hearing.
