Selena Gomez Shares 'Wolves' Rehearsal Ahead of AMAs Performance

Selena Gomez is gearing up for her return to the music stage at Sunday’s American Music Awards!

The singer, 25, shared a sneak peek of her performance on Instagram Wednesday evening, days before she will perform the world television premiere of her latest single “Wolves.”

“My first performance in over a year,” Gomez captioned the footage. “The AMAs have been a place where I’ve shared some of my most intimate moments. Heart wants what it wants, after treatment and now Wolves. This Sunday,” she concluded.

During the 2004 AMAs, the star opened up in a way that Selenators hadn’t really seen before when she debuted her single “The Heart Wants What It Wants.” Gomez broke down in tears while belting out the song’s lyrics that were inspired by her relationship with on-off again boyfriend Justin Bieber, whom she is currently romantically linked with.

In addition, this year’s AMAs gig will mark Gomez’s first performance since undergoing surgery for a kidney transplant.

The 13 Reasons Why co-producer revealed in September that she quietly stepped back from her career during the summer to recover from a kidney transplant due to complications from lupus. Her longtime pal and actress Francia Raisa was the donor.

The 2017 American Music Awards air live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Nov. 19 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
