See if you have unclaimed cash from Sacramento County

Does the county of Sacramento owe you money? It has more than 10,000 uncashed checks totaling $2.4 million waiting for people to claim.

The county issues and mails out checks to the payees, and when the money remains uncashed for six months, the information becomes available online.

Here's how you can see if you have an uncashed check:

  • Scroll through this Unclaimed Warrant listing document and look for check numbers and your name.

  • Search the Sacramento County's list of outstanding checks here. Hit the icon next to "Name of Payee" and type your name in the search bar that pops up.

If you find your name or business on the data listing, go the Unclaimed County Warrants webpage to find out about the documentation and information needed to validate you are the rightful payee.

But that's not all...

There are also unclaimed payments at the Department of Revenue Recovery that are a result of recipients not having a their current address on file.
