He doesn’t have the official crown, but J Balvin’s pretty much a king with collaborations. He’s worked with Justin Bieber, Pharrell Williams, French Montana, and the Queen herself, Beyoncé. She teamed up with Balvin for the “Mi Gente” remix and catapulted the song to a whole new level of popularity. The collabo with Bey helped J Balvin nab 12 Billboard Latin Music Award nominations, including Hot Latin Song of the Year, and Crossover Artist of the Year for Mrs. Carter. “I am beyond grateful to have Queen B join us. It’s a dream come true,” J Balvin said of the match made in music heaven. J Balvin’s new single with Nicky Jam, “X (Equis),” is also on its way to megahit status — just ask superfan Will Smith. The Fresh Prince posted a video on Instagram where he’s jamming out to the anthem and giving the artists a shout-out in Spanish. “X (Equis)” just scored worldwide recognition on Shazam as the No. 1 most Shazamed song.
