How to find Oklahoma fishing reports
The wildlife department requires fishing reports be submitted during the peak fishing season of March through June.
You can find those reports at wildlifedepartment.com/fishing/fishingreport. By clicking on an individual report, you can also find lake maps, bait and tackle nearby, available campgrounds and area-specific fishing regulations.
How to get an Oklahoma fishing license
With some exceptions, anyone taking fish or other aquatic dwelling organisms by any method in Oklahoma needs to first purchase a fishing license from the Oklahoma wildlife department.
The prices for fishing licenses in Oklahoma are as follows:
Residents
Annual Fishing License - $25 (valid 365 days from date of purchase)
2-Day Fishing License - $15 (valid two consecutive days of choice)
Youth Annual Fishing License - $5 (valid for 16 & 17 year olds - 365 days from date of purchase)
Nonresidents
Annual Fishing License - $55 (valid 365 days from date of purchase)
6-Day Fishing License - $35 (valid six consecutive days of choice)
1-Day Fishing License - $15 (valid one day of choice)
Oklahoma free fishing days 2024
For two days only, June 1-2, 2024, anyone can fish in Oklahoma without a state license. However, a free paddlefish permit is still required, and some cities may still require fishing permits.
