See how New Jersey fared in Newsweek's Best Hospitals 2024 list

Six New Jersey hospitals are a cut above the rest in the U.S., according to Newsweek's 2024 report on the best all around the world.

Newsweek partnered with Statista for its annual ranking.

They say the main list with various sublists includes data on 2,400 hospitals across 30 countries, with Chile and Malaysia added for the first time. The ranking encompasses the U.S., most of Western Europe and Scandinavia, 10 Asian countries, Australia and countries elsewhere in the Americas.

The scoring was based on an online survey of more than 85,000 medical experts, as well as public data from post-hospitalization patient surveys on their general satisfaction. It also considered items like hygiene and patient/doctor ratio and a Statista survey on whether hospitals use Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs).

The data can be broken down by Top 250 in the world (none of New Jersey's are on that list), tops in each country and more.
