See April the Giraffe's Calf Meet His Daddy for the First Time

Not since the birth of Jesus has any baby been awaited with such bated breath. I kid, but really, some people went mad waiting to see April the Giraffe give birth to her calf at the Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville, NY on the live-stream watched around the world. At long last, on Saturday, the miracle of life took place on YouTube as April welcomed an 129-pound baby boy into the world.

The little one doesn't have a name yet, as the park is hosting a subscription contest to help name the baby at nameaprilscalf.com until approximately April 25. However, on Tuesday morning, he did get to experience another hallmark moment: meeting his dad, Oliver. The two shared a tender embrace through their pen wall, which was captured on camera and shared on April's Twitter feed.
