What security measures are taken at election polls?

PRINCETON (WVNS) – With elections wrapping on Tuesday, May 14th, one concern at polls are security risks.

With voters filtering in and out of polling locations, security risks are a possibility.

Workers at election polls can face many problems throughout election day.

Mercer County Clerk Verlin Moye, said voters can sometimes get too passionate during elections.

“Well, people tend to get very passionate about their politics and might go a little overboard with their passion and create some sort of disturbance,” said Moye to 59News.

Moye said election poll workers are trained to face threatening situations.

In some instances, police presence can be summoned
