Security footage released from bible trailer fire

May 4—As the investigation into a suspicious trailer fire on Easter morning continues, the Wilson County Sheriff's Office has released surveillance camera footage to the public.

The surveillance video shows a large four-door truck fleeing the scene on Chandler Road, heading towards Central Pike. The Wilson County Sheriff's office is asking that anyone who knows who is responsible for the fire, or who may know who the vehicle belongs to contact the Wilson County Sheriff's Office Detective Division at 615-444-1459, or y report anonymously by visiting https://wcso95.org/crimestoppers/. At around 6:30 a.m. on March 31, a trailer filled with bibles was set on fire at the intersection of Old Lebanon Dirt Road and Chandler Road, near Global Vision Bible Church. After extinguishing the fire alongside members of the Mt. Juliet Police Department, it was determined that the crime fell under the jurisdiction of the Wilson County Sheriff's Office.

On the morning of the incident, Global Vision Bible Church Pastor Greg Lock posted about the fire on social media.

"Happy Resurrection Sunday," Locke wrote. "This morning at 6 a.m. our security cameras caught a man dropping off a trailer in the middle of the intersection and blocking the road into our church. He then got out and set fire to an entire trailer full of Bibles right in front of our church. There was a lady that had driven through the night to get to our church and she was in the parking lot and was able to get the police officers here quickly, but it was quite the scene to wake up to on my first morning back from Israel. Had to block traffic in all directions but they are almost finished cleaning it up. It's going to be a great day in the Lord."

Sheriff's office detectives determined that the vehicle in the roadway was intentionally set on fire and that the suspect or suspects had fled the scene. The department stated that the investigation "remains very active and ongoing."
