'Could be'. 'Unknown'. 'Not necessarily'. Arm waving, red herring tossing ( cyanide comes from a plant ! ) , and yet, nothing definitive. There are long standing 'cannabis cultures' all around the world. India, Jamaica, the Middle East, and so on. Why not start there ? If cannabis causes cancer, surely there will be an easy to spot trend among heavy users in India, or Jamaica. If no such trend exists there should be little cause for alarm. If there is such a trend, then spend money on research to separate cause, be it smoking, or simply consumption. Recommending that a user of any substance avoid imposing any sort of exposure upon others is commendable, but it would be better to address the real, identifiable harm coming from alcohol and tobacco until there is an actual indication of harm to pursue. Anything else reeks of 'reefer madness' and the failed 'war on drugs'.
DEATH BY MORALITY
Nobody smokes pot around their kids except for liberals
The largest amount of damage from smoking pot comes from the legal and penal systems. On medical terms alcohol is much worse and so is tobacco but because these are accepted mainstream drugs they are legal. Prescription drugs are far more dangerous but because wealthy people can afford to pay a doctor to prescribe almost anything they are largely unregulated. On a relative term marijuana is mostly harmless. Too much of anything is not good for you. Smoking anything is not a healthy thing to do. But the biggest problem with pot is the legal aspect and the effect on employability. Once you have been arrested and convicted of having even a small amount of pot a large part of the job market dries up for you , in many cases permanently. The punishment far exceeds the the crime in the amount of damage done. Also arresting and prosecuting and imprisoning thousands of people costs the tax payers billions of dollars that could be better spent elsewhere or taxes could be cut. Taxing the production and sale of pot has been shown to be a steady source of revenue for states that have legalized it while reducing the costs relating to illegal drugs. Making pot illegal has also driven the production and sale into the hands of organized crime. These people offer other drugs that are far worse, much more addictive and dangerous. Having to deal with these people leads to more hard drug usage because addicts keep coming back so it makes sense to them to get you hooked on something else. Smoking pot isn't good for you but it certainly isn't as bad as a lot of things that are legal. If no one wanted to smoke it or if people were aware of the damage that could happen to their lives and just said no there wouldn't be any problem but people aren't like that. Obviously a lot of people want it and are willing to take the risk to get and use it. As it is , there is no control over the market and it just costs a lot of money to police it.
It has been established almost all over the world that smoking tobacoo ciggratte is dangerous to your health how in the name of medical treatments pot,or cannabis can be good to your health which is more lethal or makes you like a wine drunk who lose his senses & gets DWI citation by the law enforcement people does not make any sense AAA

Any human activity can be abused by overuse whether you're talking about alcohol, working out, pork chops or marijuana. On the other hand, to expose the brain of a developing fetus to ANY mind altering substance is lunacy.
Also note that legalization is not the same as approval. Only people who look to the government to guide their lives believe the latter.
I smoke pot but I would NEVER smoke anything around children. We're not all irresponsible losers ya know.
now that weed is common the media is trying to reinstate prison interment for users. These swine re not friends of Liberty.
