Second Sin has been hard at work getting its new Newtown taproom ready. When will it open?

Second Sin’s beer taps will soon be flowing at its new taproom in Newtown Borough.

The Bristol Township-based brewery announced Sunday plans to open the doors to their new taproom next week.

"The finishing touches are happening as we speak," the business posted on its Facebook page.

"It's been a long time coming, but we're very excited to announce that our taproom at 17 N. State Street in Newtown will open at noon on April 27th!"

Second Sin was started in 2019 by founders, Mike Beresky, Phil Harris and Jake Howell, who began eyeing Newtown early on with the hopes of one day expanding their operation.

"We love the idea of being in a town and becoming part of a community that we have been visiting for years. Isaac Newtons and the Newtown Beer Festival were a big part of our formative beer drinking years," Beresky told the Courier Times in September.

"We're very fortunate to have made it through the pandemic due to the support from our fans. Our goals for Second Sin were never just about one small brewery and taproom so it feels great to take the first step towards what we hope to grow the company into."
