Second round of severe weather expected overnight

(PINPOINT WEATHER) — Round One of severe storms rolled through the region on Wednesday, producing damaging wind and hail. Round Two is expected overnight, bringing more torrential rain and possible severe weather.

Once again, strong wind and hail are the main threats. If you’re reading this before going to bed, please make sure you have a way to get notified if a warning is issued, such as a NOAA Weather Radio, or by turning off ‘Do Not Disturb’ on your smartphone.

Thursday will be a little more settled. After some lingering showers in the morning, the afternoon looks mainly dry. However, a few spotty storms may still develop by evening.

Friday is when a cold front moves in with a couple more showers or storms possible. The front will clear things out for the weekend, including the humidity! It’s looking nice if you’re taking Mom out for Mother’s Day.

Tonight: Rain and storms moving in. Low 68.

Thursday: Partly sunny. Chance spotty shower or storm. High 80.
