Aug. 17—Second gentleman Douglas Emhoff will travel to Hawaii on his return trip from Tokyo after he represents the United States at the Paralympic Games.

Emhoff, the husband of Vice President Kamala Harris, will visit Honolulu on Aug. 25. Additional details regarding his stay in Hawaii will be announced later, according to the White House.

In late July, first lady Jill Biden visited Honolulu on her way back from Tokyo where she attended the opening ceremonies of the Olympics. While on Oahu, she visited a pop-up vaccination clinic at Waipahu High School and attended a barbecue for military members and their families at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam.

Before leaving Hawaii, she punctured her foot while walking on a beach and is now wearing a medical boot following recent foot surgery.
