Second brother arrested for Franklin County Courthouse bomb threat

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – The second brother accused of threatening to bomb the Franklin County Courthouse earlier this month has been arrested.

The Chambersburg Police Department says Jason Rogers was arrested on Tuesday in connection to the April 10 threat that allegedly involved his brother Chadwin Rogers.

According to court records, Chadwin Rogers was scheduled to be formally arraigned at the Franklin County Courthouse on DUI and related charges around the same time the threat came in on April 10.

Police say the courthouse received a call from an unknown person claiming that an explosive device was going to detonate inside. The area was evacuated and eventually cleared by K9s.

Police say Chadwin Rogers, 34, was arrested on April 11 for charges including felony conspiracy of terroristic threats. His brother Jason had been wanted until his arrest on Tuesday.

Jason Rogers is facing charges of terroristic threats causing the evacuation of a building and criminal use of a communication facility.
