Second body found in Bristol in two days. Police say the incidents are unrelated.

Bristol police located the body of a man near the M&T Bank on North Main Street in Bristol early Thursday morning. It is the second untimely death in two days, according to the department.

Police responded to 10 North Main Street before 5:30 a.m. for a report of a man found dead lying near a dumpster. The man was identified, but his name was not released so that police can notify his family.

Representatives from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner responded to the scene and removed the body to conduct an autopsy.

Police said the manner of death is under investigation but added that there is no known threat to the community.

This is the second reported body found in Bristol in two days. Another was found on the other side of town on Farmington Avenue on Wednesday. The two incidents are “completely unrelated,” according to Bristol Lt. Geoffrey Lund.
