Search underway for missing 79-year-old man from Fieldale

HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the community’s help to locate a missing 79-year-old man, who was last seen on April 12.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Kenneth Wayne Turner,79, was last seen at his home on Massie Drive, in Fieldale, on Friday, by his family. He was reported missing on Saturday, April 13.

Investigators believe Turner left his home on foot. Deputies describe him as around 6’4″ and weighs about 240 lbs. He has gray hair and was last seen wearing navy blue sweatpants.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies and more than four other agencies, including the Conservation Police, have joined the search for Turner. Crews are actively scouring the Fieldale and Bassett areas.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who may know details about Turner’s whereabouts to call 911, or the Martinsville-Henry County Communications Center at 276-638-8751.
