Search narrows for new Topeka city manager

UPDATE: Alan Howze and Robert Perez are the two finalists for the position, according to an email from a City of Topeka spokeswoman.

TOPEKA (KSNT) – The City of Topeka will hold a special meeting to interview and discuss the two final candidates for Topeka’s city manager position.

The special meeting will be held on Friday, April 12. The final candidates were Jeffrey Dingman, Alan Howze, William Jones, Robert Perez, Abbe Yacoben. The city didn’t specify which of the candidates will be interviewed during the special meeting.

The finalists participated in two interview panels on Monday, April 8. One panel included Mayor Michael Padilla and selected community stakeholders Laura Burton, Susan Duffy, Kerry Pancoast, Danielle Twemlow and Keith Warta. The other panel was with the governing body. These interviews were not open to the public. An additional public event was held the same day.
