Search for missing 21-year-old man continues after almost a week: KCPD

Update: KCPD said David Yak has been located safely.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are looking for 21-year-old David Yak who was last seen in Kansas City, Missouri on Wednesday, May 8.

The Kansas City Police Department said Yak’s last location was about a mile west of Highway 291, in the area of North Sycamore Avenue and Northeast 108th Terrace in the Northland, at around 7:30 a.m.

Yak was last seen in an orange shirt and grey sweatpants, and he is said to be about 6’7″ and 285 pounds.

He is reported to be without his medications, and the family is concerned for his safety and well-being, KCPD said.

If found, police encourage you not to approach, but to call 911 or the KCPD Missing Persons Unit at (816) 234-5043.
