SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – ‘Twas the eve of San Diego State’s highly anticipated Senior Night faceoff against Boise State.

Aztecs star Forward Jaedon Ledee being named a 2024 Karl Malone finalist, a list reserved for only a number you can count on one hand. Ledee leading the Mountain West in scoring, and making headline after headline after consistently posting head turning numbers.

“It would be an honor, you know it would be a testament to hard work and being patient.. but I couldn’t really even do anything without my teammates.. it’s all 5 of us working together. It’s kind of for all of us,” Ledee on being recognized for the prestigious Malone award.

Of course winning is at the forefront of everyone’s minds, but with a milestone game like Senior Night on the docket.. it’s natural to pause and reflect one’s journey on the Mesa.

“My last game when my sister was here, that was very special to me,” Lamont Butler Jr. tearfully sharing when looking back on moments that stick in the forefront of his memory.

And lastly, Head Coach Brian Dutcher signing his 5-year contract extension that will keep him through at least the 2027-28 season.

Plenty to look forward to on the horizon.

Aztecs matchup against Boise State will tipoff at 7 p.m Friday evening at Viejas Arena.
