SDPD releases sketch of man suspected of posing as police officer

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — The San Diego Police Department still needs help finding the man who pretended to be a police officer and attempted to lure children into his car last month.

Around 10 a.m. on Monday, March 11, police said a man approached two children, ages 9 and 12, at Keiller Park on Woodrow Avenue. As FOX 5/KUSI previously reported, SDPD said the man told the two children that he was a police officer, asked to take photos of them and wanted them to come back to his vehicle with them.

However, the two young girls asked for his badge, police said, and did not follow him to his car. The suspect was last seen heading east on Lisbon Street.
