Scranton High School evacuated for gas leak

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Scranton High School was evacuated due to a gas leak.

Scranton High School evacuated around 10:24 a.m. on Wednesday due to a gas leak, according to school officials.

The school district states that, given how serious gas leaks are, they decided to evacuate for the safety and security of the students and staff.

Police investigate shooting in Scranton

As of 12:20 p.m. Scranton High School has been cleared by the Scranton Fire Department and UGI allowing students to return to class.
