SciClone Pharma names Simon Li to its board
SciClone names Simon Li, who has worked with Medtronic and J&J, to board of directors
FOSTER CITY, Calif. (AP) -- SciClone Pharmaceuticals Inc. said Monday it appointed Simon Li to its board of directors.
The company said Li has worked with medical device maker Medtronic Inc. and health care giant Johnson & Johnson, including ventures that do business in the Asia-Pacific region and China. Li is the eighth member of the company's board.
SciClone's main product is Zadaxin, used in the treatment of hepatitis and certain cancers. It also markets drugs developed by other companies, mainly in China.
Shares of the company added 3 cents to $4.99 in morning trading.
