'School of Rock' star Kevin Clark, 32, killed by driver in Chicago

Kevin Clark, one of the young stars of the 2003 movie "School of Rock," has died at age 32.
A driver struck Clark, who was biking in a Chicago neighborhood.
"School of Rock" was Clark's sole acting credit. He went into a full-time music career.
Kevin Clark, the "School of Rock" actor, died early Wednesday morning after a driver struck him while he was riding his bike, the Chicago Sun-Times reported. He was 32.
Clark was riding about 1:20 a.m. Wednesday in the Avondale neighborhood of Chicago when a driver struck him in an intersection. Clark had run a red light, the driver and a witness told the police, according to the Chicago Tribune. The driver, a 20-year-old woman, was issued citations.
Paramedics took Clark to the Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 2:04 a.m.
Clark costarred in the 2003 movie "School of Rock" when he was about 14 years old, playing opposite Jack Black and an ensemble of child actors. He played the class band's drummer, Freddy "Spazzy McGee" Jones.
Following his appearance in "School of Rock," Clark never acted in a major film again but continued working as musician. He played in a number of Chicago bands over the years, including his most recent project, Jess Bess and the Intentions.
