LCSO and crews from the Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System responded to the crash at the intersection of Evergreen Mills and Ryan roads in Brambleton.

The sheriff’s office said there were some injuries but that none of them was considered life-threatening.

Dan Adams, Public Information Officer for Loudoun County Public Schools, said 12 students and seven adults were on the school bus, which was headed to a field trip. Three passengers on the bus had minor injuries. Medics took them to the hospital. Adams said the rest of the passengers were taken back to school.

Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System said four patients, in all, went to the hospital: one student and three adults.

In its post on the X platform at 11:12 a.m., LCSO said drivers should avoid Evergreen Mills Road from Black Branch Parkway to Ryan Road as it will be closed for the next several hours.
