Save your soda tabs for Ronald Mcdonald House of Charity

Dothan, AL (WDHN) – The time has come for the annual POP Tab recycling day and POP Tab Pandemonium Day! This event will help raise money for the Ronold Mcdonald House Charities of Alabama which is a nonprofit that helps provides a supportive atmosphere for families and their children who are receiving medical treatment at Children’s of Alabama, UAB, or other area hospitals. The Ronald Mcdonald House keep families together and near the medical care their child needs.

POP Tab Pandemonium Day is a school-based contest held each year throughout Alabama, with participating schools collecting soda tabs throughout the year and donate them to the Ronald Mcdonald House Charities of Alabama. This is great for teaching kids about recycling and of course a little competition never hurts.

On April 25th the drop off event will take place at the Mcdonald’s of Enterprise from 11 am to 3 pm. School with the heaviest soda tab donations will win the event.

The fun of recycling is not just limited to the schools, you can collect as well on your own and join in on the weigh in fun on April 25th, in Enterprise. If you can’t make it to Enterprise, then you can drop your soda tabs at any Mcdonalds location.

Murphy Family Mcdonald’s have 30 locations around the wiregrass and were able to donate $350,000 dollars to the Ronald Mcdonald House of Charities through round up donations.

Those donations even helped a local Geneva County family that had a premature baby and were able to receive the care needed through the Rondald Mcdonald House of Charities.
