SAULT STE. MARIE — There were plenty of reasons to celebrate this weekend in Sault Ste. Marie.

Along with the three-day Memorial Day weekend and warm, sunny weather, the Sault Area High School Class of 2023 walked across the stage and received their diplomas on Sunday, May 28.

In total, 145 Sault High students graduated this year.

Class valedictorian Claire Erickson gave a speech to her class during the commencement ceremony, and reminded her fellow students to appreciate how hard they worked to get to where they are today.
