Saudi Interior Ministry Says 'Drone' Caused Explosion and Fire at Oil Plant

Drones “targeted” a Saudi-owned Aramco facility and oilfield in Abqaiq, in the eastern part of the country, the Saudi interior ministry said on September 14.

Videos of the factory and oilfield on fire were shared on social media. The interior ministry said at 6:19 am GMT that the fire was under control and the cause was being investigated.
