Saturday shooting victim identified

May 6—A Pulaski County man was shot and killed by his wife before that woman, before that woman traveled to Russell Springs and conducted a pair of shootings there.

Larry V. Gosser, 73, was confirmed by Pulaski County Coroner Clyde Strunk as having been killed in a shooting Saturday night.

His wife, Angela Gosser, 56, then reportedly traveled to Russell Springs, where she shot and killed her sister, Jennifer Wilson, 57.

She went on to enter the home of her brother, Darryl Wilson, 58, where she and Darryl Wilson exchanged gunfire.

Angela Gosser was pronounced dead by the Russell County Coroner, while Darryl Wilson was taken to the UK Medical Center for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office is investigating the Pulaski shooting, while the Kentucky State Police is investigating the Russell County shootings.

According to PCSO, deputies were called around 6:30 p.m. out to Brown Ridge Road on the report of a gunshot victim.

When deputies arrived on the scene, they discovered a male victim lying beside the road approximately 200 feet from his residence.

That victim, identified as Larry Gosser, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Around 7 p.m., Pulaski County 911 contacted KSP Post 15 to ask for help in locating a Ford F150 that PCSO believed to be driven by Angela Gosser.

Then, around 7:24 p.m. Russell County 911 contacted KSP Post 15 to ask for assistance investigating a shooting that had occurred on S. Ky. 619 in Russell County.

At that address, they learned about the shooting between Angela Gosser and Darryl Wilson. While investigating that scene, KSP also received a request for a welfare check on Jennifer Wilson, whom family members had not been able to get in touch with.

Jennifer Wilson's Toyota Camry was located on Hammond Road in Russell County, partially off the roadway.

Investigators discovered Jennifer Wilson in the driver's seat with an apparently fatal gunshot wound to her head.

KSP was assisted at the scene by the Russell County Sheriff's Office, Jamestown Police Department, Russell County EMS, and the Russell County Coroner's Office. The investigation is ongoing by Detective James Ford.
