'Saturday Night Live' #TBT: Adele saves Thanksgiving

Everyone loves a Thanksgiving feast with turkey and all the fixings, but the one side we could all do without? Family drama.

This Saturday Night Live throwback clip from 2015 knows that “Thanksgiving with family can be hard” — like when your uncle starts ranting about politics, or your cousin makes vaguely racist jokes, or your siblings start picking on each other.

But there’s one thing that can unite them all: Adele.

Just when the big, cantankerous family in the clip starts really going at it, a little girl cues up a song and suddenly, the soft strains of a mournful piano shuts everybody up.

“Hello, it’s me.”

From there, the family members are swept up into the power of the song, showing off their Adele-like manicures, wind blowing through their hair in their black-and-white photographic glory.

Hello, from the other side of Thanksgiving drama!

SNL returns with host Saoirse Ronan and musical guest U2 on Dec. 2.
