Sarah Palin's Son Trig, 8, Has His First Day of School: See the Adorable Photos!
Monday marked a milestone day for Sarah Palin's 8-year-old son, Trig.
The former Alaska governor's youngest child, who has Down syndrome, started school Monday and several members of the Palin family were on hand to send him off, including dad Todd Palin and big sister Bristol Palin.
Mom Sarah documented the big moment on Facebook, posting four photos of her son grinning widely and wearing glasses, a blue and white color-block T-shirt and a green backpack. He even had his own mini briefcase!
"First day of school! It's still quite the 'event' even after all those other 'First Day of School!' times with our big kids," the proud mom of five wrote.

She added, "God bless all America's students & teachers as we kick off the new school year!"
Bristol's 7-year-old son, Tripp, and her husband, Dakota Meyer, also posed for smiling photos with Trig.
Bristol shared the photo of her, Tripp and Trig on her Instagram account, captioning it, "First day of 2nd grade for my babes!! and first time I've seen Tripp in jeans all summer #hecould."
