Sarah Jessica Parker wore her love of perforations on her sleeve — and bodice, and legs, and feet on Wednesday night at a New York Times speaking engagement, TimesTalks, in New York City.

The Divorce star was the guest of honor at the Q&A, which took place at New York University’s Skirball Center, and she dressed the part, wearing a sheer black perforated dress with a V-neck over a black bra and white slip. The long-sleeved dress featured a belted waist with studs.

Adding to her holiness, Parker paired the dress with matching metallic purple boots dotted with tiny square cutouts — footwear that was, of course, her own design (the shoes were released a few years ago and retailed for $417 when they were on the market).

This isn’t the first time that Parker has rocked the punctured look. In 2013, she was spotted wearing Isabel Marant’s Basley perforated suede wedge booties. She’s also a proud owner of Louis Vuitton’s perforated crossbody.

And there are a bunch of perforated looks in her own line, including the SJP Grove crossbody and the Marci lace-up open-toed booties. So, while you may not be able to get your hands on her exact TimesTalks look, there are options out there for creating your own perfectly perforated SJP-inspired outfit.

Parker has actually been on a style streak recently. Since portraying Carrie Bradshaw on Sex and the City, the actress has been focusing on smaller roles and developing her other endeavors, including her makeup line and a new LBD collection. Don’t call it a comeback, but the 51-year-old’s Divorce promotional tour looks do indicate she’s ready to step back onto the scene.

Earlier on Wednesday, Parker talked her new HBO show on Good Morning America in an ensemble that would make SATC costume designer Patricia Field proud. SJP opted for a layered black and white piece from Monse that she paired with bright teal stilettos from her own Spring collection.

The night before, she attended the premiere in a eggplant purple lace dress from Dolce & Gabbana. The bodice featured multi-colored gems arranged in a very regal manner and she pulled her hair back in a chic chignon.

If this is what Carrie Bradshaw 2.0 dresses like, we’re here for it.
