The couple’s little girls looked adorable for their red carpet debut sporting vintage-style coats, while holding hands with their chicly-dressed mom. Meanwhile James looked dapper wearing a checkered shirt and tie as he posed alongside his father. Ahead of the performance, Sarah shared a video of her family en route to the theater, which she captioned: “Yipee! On our way to see "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and the whole family get to go and cheer for our dear @scottwittman and @marc_shaiman X, sj.” In the clip, the mom-of-three can be heard singing “It’s a family affair.”

Following the show, Sarah posted a photo of her playbill and party pass writing, “A lot of VERY happy people just left the Lunt-Fontanne theatre in NYC. Count the Parker-Brodericks among them. Join the joy and be an audience at "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" X, sj.”

The Sex and the City alum previously admitted that going to the theater is one way that she unwinds. “I read a lot. I get in bed after all the little kids are hopefully content and tucked away and perhaps even asleep, and I watch television,” she said in a recent interview with Capitol File Magazine. “But I also go to the theater a lot. And I take a subway there, which I love, because I can read the entire time. I love going to the theater and ballet by myself. I also love to be joined by friends.”

The fashion designer noted that her three children serve as a source of her creativity. The 52-year-old said, "You can spend a day with your children and have an experience. They are the lens through which you’re seeing things. It’s all different colors and activity and structure and everything—art, literature."
