Princess Eugenie's Mom Is Sharing Some Really Embarrassing Engagement Photos on Twitter

Sarah Ferguson Blasts Article on Eugenie's Wedding

The one person who may be more excited about Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s engagement than the happy couple themselves? The bride’s mother, Sarah, Duchess of York (a.k.a. Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson).

On Monday, Sarah took to Twitter to share her joy with several photos of the couple accompanied by elated captions.

“A total embrace of goodness and joy,” she wrote on a black-and-white photo of Eugenie, 27, and her new fiancé, Jack Brooksbank, 31, gazing into the distance. “We love Jack and I am so excited to have a son, a brother and a best friend. Eugenie is one of the finest people I know and so together it will be pure harmony.”

In a tweet accompanying another black-and-white photo, this one of Eugenie and Jack cuddling on a boat, she wrote “They float with laughter and love .. although a boat helps!” In the tweet, Fergie, 58, tagged her ex-husband Prince Andrew, 57, and their older daughter, Princess Beatrice, 29.

“I always say that the river flows well to it’s [sic] destiny because of the guidance of a solid rock,” Fergie wrote on the last photo she shared of the happy couple (as of yet!) with their arms around one another.

After a few hours break, Fergie took to Twitter to share another image, this one of Eugenie and Jack laughing with the words “They make laughter and we feel the joy.. Thank you for the magic. Jack and Eugie, so proud of you” printed on the image.

And then she posted another, this time thanking people “for your message and for sharing all our happiness with them and you.” The message of thanks was written in a scripted font over a photo of what appears to be Eugenie sitting on Jack’s shoulders.

Naturally, she also shared all the photos on Instagram as well.

Prince Andrew also shared his happiness at the news of his daughter’s engagement in an interview with the BBC on Tuesday.

“I’m absolutely overjoyed,” he told the BBC earlier today. “I’m thrilled. Jack is an absolutely outstanding young man. Eugenie and he have got to know each other over a number of years, and I’m really thrilled for them.”

He continued: “It’s now about finding the time and the date and getting it all organized. I think probably in the autumn sometime will be the time that everybody is looking at. We can’t fix a date yet, we’ve got to look at everybody’s diaries. It’s a bit more complicated than that. I’m just completely overjoyed for them and wish them every happiness.”

Though Fergie and Prince Andrew divorced in 1996, the whole York family is still very friendly. Andrew and Fergie are often spotted out in public together, and will surely play a prominent role in their daughter’s wedding.

Eugenie and Jack, who have been dating for several years, got engaged earlier this month on a trip to Nicaragua.

“The Duke and Duchess of York are delighted to announce the engagement of Princess Eugenie to Mr. Jack Brooksbank,” her parents said in a statement. “The wedding will take place in the autumn of 2018 at George’s Chapel in Windsor, with further details to be announced in due course.”
