Sandara Park excited about judging Pinoy talent show

The 2NEI singer wants to follow "Star Circle Quest" judge Boy Abunda's footsteps

17 Aug - K-pop idol Sandara Park is excited about her upcoming judging stint on "Pinoy Boyband Superstar".

As reported on ABS-CBN News, the 2NE1 member, who will be joining comedian Vice Ganda and singer Yeng Constantino in the upcoming talent competition, stated that she has always wanted to be part of the search, since she herself came from such programme.

"I'm excited to be a judge on a Filipino reality show because here was where my dream began. It's so special to me," she said.

Park rose to fame through the first season of the talent show "Star Circle Quest" back in 2004, though lost the first place to Hero Angeles, who later became her own onscreen partner in various films and dramas.

As to what she looks for in contestants, Park stated that she hopes to find those who have that "something special", and members who can support each other.

When asked who her idol is when it comes to judging a competition, Park named Boy Abunda, who was part of the jury on the first season of "Star Circle Quest".

Park stated that though Abunda's comments used to hurt, she now understands that she had so much to learn.
