San Joaquin County deputies search for missing boater
(FOX40.COM) — A search is underway for a boater who went missing on Thursday morning, according the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office.
Officials said a call came in about 5 a.m. that reported an 8 to 10-foot mini ski boat with two people capsized in the San Joaquin River near Loop River Road in Lathrop.
A man from the boat was able to swim to shore, but the other person didn’t make it back. The two boaters were returning from night fishing and neither person was wearing a life vest.
