San Diego Zoo Safari Park to showcase ‘Butterfly Jungle’ this spring

ESCONDIDO, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — The San Diego Zoo Safari Park is welcoming the spring season with Butterfly Jungle.

The experience allows visitors to feed, learn and be among hundreds of butterflies within the Hidden Jungle enclosure, zoo officials said in a press release on Monday.

Monarch butterflies, which are in danger of vanishing in the Southwest region as their numbers have plummeted by more than 99%, are featured in the exhibit, according to the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance.
