San Diego weather: Warming trend on the way

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — San Diego is known for sunshine and warm temperatures, but the sunshine is extra special when we get it in the months of May and June, when May Gray and June Gloom are typical.

Low clouds started to clear across the coastline around 10 a.m. Tuesday, making way for beautiful clue skies and pleasant weather across the county.

We weren’t as lucky with cloud clearing at the start of the week and we may not be so lucky for Wednesday as onshore flow strengths. We may even get a bit of patchy drizzle early Wednesday morning from a deepening marine layer.

Night and morning low clouds will return each day over our seven-day forecast with only limited to slower clearing at the coast.

Wednesday daytime highs are forecasted to reach mid-60s at the coast, upper 60s inland and in the mountains and mid-90s in the deserts.

A slight warming trend kicks in for Thursday and Friday with Friday looking like the warmest day of the week.
