Niche, a popular ranking and review site, has broken down the numbers to put into perspective what it takes to be among the Aztecs in America’s Finest City.

Let’s start with the test scores.

As far as high school GPA, those accepted and those rejected widely varied based on Niche’s scatterplot graph. The data was collected from Niche users and then compared across the board.

Furthermore, students that typically get into San Diego State have an average SAT score between 1090-1300 or an average ACT score of 22-29, Niche data shows.

With those numbers in mind, Niche said San Diego State’s admissions is selective with an acceptance rate of 38%.

The admissions application deadline is Nov. 30 and the application fee costs $70. According to Niche, a high school transcript with GPA and college prep courses are required to be considered.
