San Diego can count on the marine layer this week

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A pesky marine layer will continue day in and day out with limited clearing at the beach.

We may sound like a broken record, but evening and morning low clouds are expected to continue as we are in the season of May Gray.

However, South Bay and some beach areas were treated to sunshine and blue skies by early Thursday afternoon so clearing is possible Friday and thereafter. Low clouds are expected to stay away the entire afternoon/evening.

Patchy drizzle is also possible west of the mountains thanks in part to a healthy marine layer.

Minimal changes in daytime highs expected for Friday with beaches hanging out in the mid to upper 60s, low to mid 70s inland and in the mountains and close to 100 degrees in the deserts.
