San Angelo honors EMS workers during National EMS Week

SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — This week, San Angelo is recognizing the hard work and dedication of EMS workers who respond to daily emergencies, often involving life-threatening situations.

EMS administrator Mason Matthews praised the commitment of the 190 personnel who work in shifts around the clock. “We have staff working 24/7, 365 days a year for those ‘what ifs.’ We love our job, love protecting our community, and believe we have the greatest job in the world,” Matthews said.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of National EMS Week, with the theme Honoring Our Past.
