Samsung Galaxy Note II could feature a beastly 12-megapixel camera, says report
MK Business News has a new report on Samsung’s Galaxy Note sequel that supposedly confirms several of its own previously-leaked details and adds a tantalizing new one: the Galaxy Note II may feature a 12-megapixel camera. However, the report also throws some cold water on earlier reports that the new Note would feature an unbreakable plane (UBP) display, as an unnamed source told the publication that UBP would likely be a feature of Samsung products released after the Note II.
“There are also talks of improving the camera resolution to 12.0 or 13.0 megapixels, up from current 8.0 megapixels, but this may be changed depending on other factors,” said the MK Business News source. “It will not, however, showcase the unbreakable plane display technology, a precursor to the flexible display. UBP will most likely be applied for the next product released after Galaxy Note 2.”
In addition to reporting on the possible 12-megapixel camera, MK Business News also reasserts that Samsung’s phablet sequel will feature a 5.5-inch display screen and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, and also says that Samsung will officially unveil the device in late August.
