Samsung Galaxy Note 8: 5 Expected Features
Samsung might be thankful that 2016 is over as the year hasn’t been great from the company. From being sued globally for exploding Note 7s to a loss-making third quarter and news of the company expecting to split up, the year hasn’t been a joyride.
2017, however, is expected to be better with the release of Samsung flagships Galaxy S8 and Note 8. The company was earlier rumored to discontinue the Note series entirely following the Note 7 scandal, but the presence of a Note 8 device is becoming more evident every day.
Here are 5 expected features of the device, which is expected to launch in the latter half of 2017:
Dual Screen Display: Samsung is expected to move as far away from the Note 7 as possible. The Note 8 is expected to come with an outwardly folding dual display. The two displays will be located at the front and back of the device. The company is expected to push out small numbers of the device first to check out the market response and then release a dual-display Note 8.
Artificially Intelligent Voice Assistant: Samsung is expected to replace its outdated S voice system and trade it for a voice assistant based on artificial intelligence, which will evolve according to the consumer’s needs based on usage.
Increased RAM and internal storage: The Galaxy Note 8 is expected to come with 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard memory in addition to expandable storage via MicroSD card.
Upgraded S-Pen: The device is expected to come with a revamped S-Pen stylus. The U.S. patent office recently published the company’s patent application indicating the presence of a speaker within the S-Pen.
Non-Samsung batteries: This feature is kind of obvious since the company has already found out that faulty batteries caused the Note 7 to explode and has already started sourcing batteries from LG.
