Samaritan House hosts 6th annual ‘Step Into the Light’ gala for victims of domestic violence

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – The Samaritan House will host the sixth annual ‘Step Into the Light‘ gala on Saturday to celebrate survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking and sexual assault.

Samaritan House to open facility for survivors of human trafficking in Virginia Beach

The gala is scheduled to take place on April 20 at 7 p.m. at the Virginia Beach Marriott Oceanfront Hotel.

According to the Samaritan House, the gala will help raise funds to assist victims of domestic violence, human trafficking and sexual assault.

The night will consist of a silent auction, autographed celebrity memorabilia and local art donated by local businesses. There will also be a presentation by Mike Gerald, the first annual ‘100 Men Against Violence Hall of Fame’ inductee.

The B.J. Griffin Band will provide music for the night.

“We are honored and excited to once again host the ‘Step Into the Light’ gala that not only celebrates the strength and resilience of survivors, but also reinforces Samaritan House’s commitment to assisting survivors at every step of their journey to a life free of violence,” executive director of Samaritan House Robin Gauthier said.
