Salvation Army deploys mobile feeding unit to areas impacted by tornado

BENTON COUNTY, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The northwest Arkansas area was severely impacted by severe storms on May 26.

Due to the level of impact, the Salvation Army is looking to help those affected.

According to a press release, the Salvation Army’s mobile feeding unit is being deployed in Benton County.

The Salvation Army says crews are currently on the ground providing meals, hydration and snacks to impacted neighborhoods.

“As accessibility improves, we will deploy additional resources to provide more meals and clean-up kits to those in need,” according to the release.

The Salvation Army says ultimately, they remain committed to their mission of ensuring that the community is fed.
