ERIE, Pa. (WHTM)– The Saint Theresa boys varsity basketball team advanced to the second round of the CYO state championship with a 44-38 overtime victory over Our Lady of Mount Carmel of the Philadelphia Diocese. The tournament is being held on the campus of Mercyhurst University in Erie.

The Saints, of New Cumberland, are champions of the Harrisburg Diocese. They were paced by Nike Craig and Mike Williams who each scored 16.

WHTM Morning Weather

Saint Theresa, 24-1, will take on St. Clare-St Paul of the Scranton Diocese on Saturday at noon.

The Saints finished second in the state last year. The 2024 champion will be crowned Sunday afternoon.
