SAG Awards 2019: Patricia Arquette thanks Robert Mueller during her acceptance speech

Things got political at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Patricia Arquette, 50, took time out of her acceptance speech to thank special counsel Robert Mueller after winning the statue for actress in a TV movie or miniseries for her role as Tilly Mitchell in "Escape At Dannemora."

"Thank you Robert Mueller and everyone working to make sure that we have sovereignty for the United States of America," Arquette concluded her speech.

She beat out the likes of Amy Adams ("Sharp Objects"), Emma Stone ("Maniac") and Patricia Clarkson ("Sharp Objects"), whom Arquette initially thought won.

"I thought you were saying Patricia Clarkson so I was like, 'Yeah! She's awesome.' I told her I wanted to go to her acting class when were outside," Arquette said. "Thank you to my fellow nominees. I love all your work. I'm inspired by all of you."

Arquette also urged actors to fight for overtime pay because they "depend on that money to survive."
