Sade Robinson's family notified of another body part discovery in Waukegan, Illinois, along Lake Michigan

A human arm was discovered along the shoreline in Waukegan, Illinois, as the family of slain Milwaukee teen, Sade Robinson, has been notified of the discovery.

The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office said Thursday it will not be able to officially confirm whose body the arm belongs to until DNA results are returned, but the sheriff's office did say that after Waukegan authorities reached out to them, Robinson's family was notified.

Robinson, 19, was killed and dismembered in early April following a first date with 33-year-old Maxwell Anderson, according to prosecutors. Anderson pleaded not guilty to the charges and the next hearing is scheduled for July 12.

A leg belonging to Robinson was discovered at Warnimont Park in Cudahy on April 2. More body parts believed to belong to Robinson were discovered across Milwaukee County in the days since.

The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office deferred comments to Waukegan authorities on exactly where and when the arm was discovered. The lead agency in the investigation is the Waukegan Police Department. A message left with their public information officer was not immediately returned Thursday.

Waukegan is a little more than an hour south of Milwaukee and its eastern border touches Lake Michigan.

Robinson's family has not been able to have a proper funeral as all of her body has not been discovered. A memorial service was held last week so that those who knew her best and the public could remember her. Attendees spoke of an intelligent, independent young woman who was "special" and "remarkable."

A news conference at the state Capitol on the need to create a task force for missing and murdered Black women and girls was held Thursday.

Erika Brown, who has been friends with Sheena Scarbrough (Robinson's mother) since college, told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel following the event, "I am devastated just trying to wrap my mind around the idea of having to comfort my friend later, knowing this conversation is coming. (Sheena) does want the rest of her baby. We can't talk about cremation, burial, or any of those things."
