Sacramento light rail services to be interrupted for several days

(FOX40.COM) — Sacramento Regional Transit announced that an interruption of service will impact some passengers over the next few days.

Feb. 26- March 1

Cordova Town Center Station will not offer any light rail service from Feb. 26-29, according to the Sacramento Regional Transit (SacRT). Light rail trains will travel through Cordova Town Center Station, however, customers will not be able to board or deboard. A shuttle bus will reportedly pick up and drop off riders between Cordova Town Center and Sunrise stations for passengers who need to enter and exit the train.

Service on SacRT’s Gold Line between Mather Field/Mills and Sunrise stations will also be interrupted.

During the closures, SacRT reported that it will be “modifying station platforms to meet the height requirements for new low-floor light rail vehicles.”
