Sacramento firefighters save unconscious pup from house fire

(FOX40.COM) — A pup that was found unconscious in the midst of a fire was rescued by first responders, according to Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District.

“This week has been busy and impactful for our community and their furry family members,” Metro Fire said on social media.

On Friday afternoon, firefighters said they arrived to a home that’s garage was on fire. There, they found an unconscious pup inside. Photos show the animal on a medical stretcher while wearing an oxygen mask.

“Crews made the rescue, and successfully resuscitated the pup before transporting the scared buddy to a local pet hospital,” Metro Fire said. “Thankfully the family has been reunited with their loved one, and it appears a full recovery is on the horizon.”
